The San Antonio Brahmas made another roster move, signing OL Julien Davenport who brings depth to the organization given some injury issues they’re facing. Greg Eiland was placed on IR this week, just several days after they also lost starting center Alex Mollette.

Julien Davenport brings a ton of experience to this organization. He played his college football at Bucknell, starting in all 44 games played at the school. Davenport was a team captain twice, and earned All-American honors five times.
This led to Julien being selected by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft. In 2018, Davenport started in 15 games for Houston – thirteen at left tackle, and two at right tackle.
Julien was traded to the Dolphins in 2019, and never quite found his footing since then. He’s been on and off NFL rosters the past few years, trying to find the same consistency he had in Houston. An injury in 2019 didn’t help, as it effectively ended his time in Miami.
Most recently, Julien was with the New York Giants in 2023. Now, he will look to continue his professional career in the UFL, with the San Antonio Brahmas. It’s worth noting that Julien was selected by the Seattle Sea Dragons during the original XFL draft in November of 2022.
Final Thoughts
There’s been some changes for the Brahmas this week. They lost starting QB Chase Garbers to injury, and in his place brought in Kevin Hogan. Additionally, RB Morgan Ellison, formerly of the Sea Dragons, signed with the team this week.
BREAKING: The San Antonio Brahmas are signing QB Kevin Hogan, per source.
With the injury to Chase Garbers, Hogan now joins the @XFLBrahmas as someone with plenty of NFL experience (Chiefs, Browns, Redskins, Titans).
Quinten Dormady is expected to start this week. #UFL
